IELTSonTrack.com is committed to donating a portion of the income earned from the sales of IELTSonTrack books and e-books to internationally worthwhile causes. After all, the IELTS test is an international language test that is both profitable to its managing organizations, and of benefit to many thousands of privileged or fortunate people – those who take the test. It seems important, therefore, to give something back to the world’s least fortunate people.

Our selected charity is Medecins sans Frontieres (MSF), an independent organization committed to offering medical-humanitarian aid in over 60 countries, with the help of more than 3000 volunteer doctors, nurses and support staff, and many thousands more locally recruited staff.

MSF’s goal is to provide aid to those who need it most in the world’s trouble spots, whatever their race, religion, gender or political viewpoint. This means that MSF provides relief after earthquakes, floods, wars, and famines. It also has mass vaccination programs to prevent epidemics.

MSF was founded in 1971 by a group of French doctors who had worked with famine victims in Nigeria. It was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999. Because it remains independent, Medecins sans Frontieres is willing to speak out about human suffering both to bear witness to it and to raise global awareness. Its independence also enables it to cut through red tape and minimise delays in providing aid all over the world.

To retain its independence and to focus its action on human needs, MSF tries not to rely on financial support from governments. More than 80% of its funding comes from donations, and in Australia the figure is 100%. MSF is constantly seeking to recruit suitable volunteers to help its emergency and humanitarian work in the world’s difficult and troubled locations.
